About The Wildlife Film School

The Wildlife Film School runs residential and non residential courses, workshops and masterclasses covering all aspects of wildlife photography and wildlife film making in a number of countries including Ireland and the UK. From digital wildlife photography and wildlife film editing using Final Cut Pro to wildlife sound recording and camera operation, The Wildlife Film School curriculum suits both beginners and those with more experience. Unique to our courses is an assessment of how you can make money from your digital photographic or film making skills by selling images or footage through a variety of outlets.

Courses conducted by The Wildlife Film School run at three levels. Two day courses usually run over a weekend employ direct field experience supported by practical demonstration and are designed specifically for those wishing to expand their understanding of digital wildlife photography or wildlife film making or those wishing to assess the industry for a potential career move. Our two day workshops cover topics like the use of software programmes Final Cut Pro and Photoshop during post production and are designed for those wishing to gain greater expertise to apply at the personal or professional level. Our five day masterclasses frequently involve tours to specific locations around the world and are put together with the more experienced wildlife photographer or film maker in mind. This allows course participants greater exposure to more challenging conditions where all aspects of wildlife photography or filming may be incorporated into the assignment with a view to producing publishable photographs or broadcast quality film or video.
